NEW! Waterford Whisky

Updated: Oct 14, 2020

Spirit Sippers,

We are thrilled and excited to announce that our importer of spirits has been appointed the exclusive USA Importer for Waterford Distillery, producers of Waterford Irish Single Malt Whisky!

As you may be aware, Waterford was started by Mark Reynier, of Bruichladdich fame. After having successfully resurrected Bruichladdich, it was purchased by Remy Cointreau. Mark, not one to sit idle, went in search of a new project.

Waterford is one of the true grain to bottle distilleries. Partnering with local Irish Barley producers, Waterford has already challenged the Whisky game in Ireland. Mark and his team have set out to challenge the common belief that Whisky does not have "terroir".

By providing full transparency, the end consumer will be able to obtain all details about how the Whisky came to be. View the full Waterford brochure here.

You may have read about the recent launch in Europe, where the response was unprecedented. Below are some comments:

Some great words from key players in Europe after a few days of launch:

  • Thierry from La Maison du Whisky in France: "a tsunami"

  • Chris from Specialty Brands, The Whisky Exchange in the UK : "unprecedented"

  • Kevin from Barry & Fitzwilliam in Ireland: "phenomenal!"

Waterford first two European releases launched June:

  • Bannow Island 1.1 70cl, 8600 bottles produced. Pre sold to importers on allocations and sold out in all markets within a week after launch. Second release already ordered.

  • Ballykilcavan 1.1 70cl, same as above

This is an amazing opportunity to be the owner of an exciting new Whisky. For the USA market we will be receiving 3 expressions this year: the Rathclough, Dunmore, and Gaia.

We expect the first US Shipment to arrive early October market launch.
